Up to the ealy 90s this still held the record for shortest ever chart single. I don't know if any charting single has beaten it yet. Only 1.34!
And at this tempo they even have time for a bass intro and a synth solo.

Please forgive the extra 12 seconds but this song is too good not to add here. There are a lot of longer versions of this song that repeat the second verse, which I think is totally superfluous. The final words of the song are so powerful I only need to hear them once!
