    21st Century Jazz/Fusion Man

Okay, inspired by the "21st Century Metal Man" thread, I thought I'd do the same thing but for jazz and fusion.

    The Rules:
    1. Pick thirteen albums for 2000-2009 and thirteen for 2010-2013.
    2. Compilations or reissues are not allowed.
    3. Each artist may only appear ONCE in your lists.
    4. You are left to your own conscience to identify what counts as jazz/fusion and what does not.

    Mine:

    2000-2009
Carla Bley The Lost Chords Find Paolo Fresu
    Alex Cline Continuation
    Nels Cline The Giant Pin
    DFA 4th
    Frogg Cafe Creatures
    Jonas Hellborg Personae
Charles Lloyd The Water Is Wide
    John McLaughlin Floating Point
    Pat Metheny The Way Up
    One Shot Dark Shot
    Planet X MoonBabies
    Dino Saluzzi/Anja Lechner Ojos Negros
    Miguel Zenon Esta Plena

    2010-2013
    Accordo Dei Contrari Kublai
    Nik Bartsch's Ronin Llyria
    Tim Berne Snakeoil
    Elephant9 Walk the Nile
    Tord Gustavsen Quartet The Well
    Vijay Iyer Trio Accelerando
    Keith Jarrett/Charlie Haden Jasmine
Preservation Hall Jazz Band/Del McCoury Band American Legacies
    Liam Sillery Phenomenology
    Esperanza Spalding Radio Music Society
    Marcin Wasilewski Trio Faithful
    Wyatt/Atmon/Stephen For the Ghosts Within
    John Zorn The Concealed

Excellent idea. I won't be able to contribute though. As I know almost nothing about current fusion or jazz

I haven't heard thirteen (or even 10) great ones from these years, so I won't bother listing anything.

Great calls on Electric Masada, John Abercrombie, and Charles Lloyd.
