I can't wait for everything that goes along with ROSfest 2014; esp. the music! This should be a no-brainer/can't miss event for lovers of all music. Thank you, George and everyone else, for one of my favorite events/ times of the year.

Attending ROSfest; good: being a patron, purchasing a gold ticket/tickets and helping to support this great event and the artists involved and being up front; Priceless!

I've already purchased my Gold Seat tix, and over 7 years my primary personal reason for going every year has morphed from the music to the friends. There are bands there in 2014 that I have little or no interest in, and others that my interest is keen on. The friends scattered all over the WORLD that attend each year don't change much though.

All that being said, Ian, how dare you think rationally, logically and pragmatically on this forum?

I'm considering going for the first time this year, I'm sure I'd have a great time with loads of friends,

    ....... but ......

the line-up doesn't really excite me, I saw Caravan at RIO & while I enjoyed them they're not must-see based on that performance, Thank You Scientist are great but I just saw them at ProgDay. No-one else on the bill really excites me at all.

Now if they sign Camel for the Saturday headlines spot I'll be there.

I went to the first 4 or 5 RosFests and had a fantastic time each time. Haven't gone in several years but will be back this year.

I took my son when he was in high school and his first year in college. We usually took one of his friends and one of mine. Great to see fantastic bands, always overspent in the vendor room, and interact with people who enjoy the same music I enjoy.

Thank you to George and his team to keep this going.

Thank You Scientist were good at Progday, but I always look forward to hearing bands I like on the sound system at ROSfest. The only thing that makes the sound less than ideal there is when the band has negative influence on it.

Since I have to drive hours to see any band, Rosfest is automatic if I can find a way. It is the thrill of finding a new band that blows me away along with bands I like and talking music with people who know more than I do. Unfortunately I can't make this year's Friday work (the last year that will be a problem), but if George puts it on, I'll be there.

It's official. I will be at Rosfest 2014 for all three days in seat F-109.

I also booked a room at the Eisenhower Hotel for the weekend as well.

I have to agree that Camel would be a great choice for Saturday night headliner.

Isn't F-109 the seat that's installed right over a desecrated Indian cemetary?

    Just kidding - congrats!

"Winkie" aside, it's a trade-off. The Eisenhower is putting all Rosfest performers & attendees into the new wing now, which is now called the Aspire Hotel & Suites, while the old building remains the Eisenhower (no idea why, new mgmt?).

If you aren't planning to attend the after-parties & stay up late (or early), then I wouldn't stay there. OTOH, if you're going to party, it's really the only place to stay imo, since you just have to stagger bleary-eyed (or worse) to your room without driving.

Agreed. I have stayed at the Eisenhower Hotel for that last few years and have no regrets. I love staying up late with the gang on Friday and Saturday night. I will see you there "Progeezer." We have talked in the past about Love (the band, of course!) over the years!!
