Not a mindblowing triplet but it was a great show, AC/DC killed.

I was at Watkins Glen in 1973 for The Summer Jam with The Band, The Allman Brothers and The Grateful Dead.

However since there was 600,000 folks there we didn't get to see the band or even hear them.

The whole ordeal is a story unto itself.

I recollect that it was at the Schaefer stuff in Central Park, but I definitely could be recollecting wrong, since I do remember the Singer Bowl (in Queens left over from the World's Fair, right?).

So to answer your question, maybe. I freely admit that my memory at 68 isn't what it was at 38.

    The date sounds about right.

I'm pretty sure the only triple bill I've attended was July '95. it was called Hippiefest. Iron Butterfly opened (played In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida and left), Mountain, and Foghat headlined.

    Thanks for the link!

Now I know that this indeed was the concert I spoke of. Thanks for the memory fix as well.

Who the hell were The Kangaroo? Is that some sort of Todd joke? I know the band I saw!

Oh, hell yes! I was sitting no more than 15 feet from the stage. And the MC5 had borrowed every amp they could get their hands on, just to show up Cheer- or so I thought (I later read this was more done out of respect). My ears literally rang for many days. I have never heard such volume in my life- not for Hendrix the three times I saw him, not for The Who, not for anyone ever else.
I'm not lazy. I just work so fast I'm always done.
