Did anybody mention Lou Reed died Sunday?

Edit: Oh I see, it's been tacked onto the thread about his liver transplant on the main board.

There was no official RIP thread but as you stated it was mentioned on the thread about him having a liver transplant. I'm glad to see an official thread here though. Better late than never. Again, RIP Lou Reed.
Sad news,
Remembering him in Montreaux, an amazing performance
Just saw the New York Post front page (on a news stand - I wouldn't touch the rag): "Reed it an Weep."
Stay classy!
Rest in peace, Lou, and thanks for the great tunes.
We're trying to build a monument to show that we were here
It won't be visible through the air
And there won't be any shade to cool the monument to prove that we were here. - Gene Parsons, 1973
We who have so much to you who have so little
To you who don't have anything at all
We who have so much more than any one man does need
And you who don't have anything at all
Does anybody need another million dollar movie
Does anybody need another million dollar star
Does anybody need to be told over and over
Spitting in the wind comes back at you twice as hard
Strawman, going straight to the devil
Strawman, going straight to Hell
Strawman, going straight to the devil
Strawman, strawman, strawman, strawman, yes

I dreamed I was the president of these United States
I dreamed I replaced ignorance, stupidity and hate
I dreamed the perfect union and a perfect law, undenied
And most of all I dreamed I forgot the day John Kennedy died
I dreamed that I could do the job that others hadn’t done
I dreamed that I was uncorrupt and fair to everyone
I dreamed I wasn’t gross or base, a criminal on the take
And most of all I dreamed I forgot the day John Kennedy died

Well Americans don’t care for much of anything
land and water the least
And animal life is low on the totem pole
with human life not worth more than infected yeast
Americans don’t care too much for beauty
they’ll shit in a river, dump battery acid in a stream
They’ll watch dead rats wash up on the beach
and complain if they can’t swim
They say things are done for the majority
don’t believe half of what you see and none of what you hear
It’s like what my painter friend Donald said to me
“Stick a fork in their ass and turn them over, they’re done”

R.I.P Lou Reed, an Echoes homage and interview with Reed about his final album. http://wp.me/pgATL-2o4
R.I.P. - that was too early.
Funny to read that Steve Howe and Rick Wakeman played on his first album
