Thread: Jon Lord solo

    Jon Lord solo

Last year and this year I've collected some Jon Lord solo-stuff
    Gemini suite
    Windows
Sarabande (this one I had allready on vinyl)
    Before I forget
    Pictured within
    Beyond the notes

Still wondering where to go next. I think Pictured within and Beyond the notes are perhaps my favorites. Any other opinions?

I've seen 2 albums that looked pretty interesting
    Durham Concerto
    To notice such things

Get Durham's Concerto, I hope you won't regret. The Boom of Tingeling Strings is another good album.

Didn't like Gemeni and Windows , but Sarabande is quite good... Don't remember ever hearing the other three Remate mentions

Though not exactly a solo, Paice, Ashton & Lord, I haven't heard in well over 30 years... But I kind of liked the flipside bach then

my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.

I also LOVE both of these two. My favorite is Pictured Within, especially the first 3 cuts. Track 3, Autumn From the Windmill is the most beautiful piece of music I have ever heard.

Of course I also love Woman From Tokyo and Perfect Strangers, but that is for another day.
