Always wanted to see him myself. Last one I got was Keio Line (on double vinyl!), one of those he did with Merzbow - and it's pretty good.

I've been crazy lucky...this will be the third (or maybe even fourth) time I've seen Pinhas perform. The last time was with Merzbow, at a Sonic Circuits two or three years ago.

He is consistently excellent in concert, so tonight should be a no-brainer I know nothing about any of the other bands on the bill, so it'll be fun to hear some new stuff as well.

Saw Pinhas solo at Tonic in 1999(?).The friend I attended this show with is no longer with us so I can't pick his brain to confirm the year(or maybe it was at Spiral?).I do remember there was a snowstorm in NYC and I couldn't believe we were venturing out to see music in that weather.I decided to brave the elements with Doug because I had recently heard, and been blown away, by Pinhas' solo electronic looped guitar cd "De l'un et de Multiples"(at Doug's house).

There were 9 people in the joint. The sound system crashed, but recovered, and the music was wonderful,if ear bleedingly LOUD.

I'd like to see Pinhas again. He's been in NYC a couple of times over the last couple of years but I was too lazy to make the shows.I'm old.

Well...show was great last night. I got there slightly late and only caught the last three acts.

Musically, hBar was somewhat mixed for me at first (laptop plus a flute player) but somewhere through it really kind of clicked. The festival also employed an audio-sensitive video feed that responded to the dynamics in very interesting ways, apparently controlled from the stage directly via the players.

Semisolid is the new incarnation of Blue Sausage Infant. The set tonight was Chester doing a terrific Klaus Schulze cosmic set, again accentuated by the interactive video. Enjoyed this one lots.

Pinhas didn't go for the interactive video thing, but simply came out and did what he does best, and he did it great Always cool to watch him build layer upon layer of sound like that.

Respectable turnout for a Thursday night too. So yeah, great evening! Looking forward to more of the fest this weekend...

I also very quickly glommed onto the Klaus Schulze-ness of it as well. Really good set.

I thought it was a really good set.
I'm also not sure I have ever actually seen him play completely solo before - so that was a nice treat.

Nice to see you there, John. See you more, soon!
