Damn good playing, and unlike quite a lot of fusion, it rocks. The rhythm section is great - funky, yet light-footed and not greasy. And you, sir, are one hell of a guitarist - a rocker's sonic vocabulary, a jazzer's ability to tell a story, the chops to play 64th notes, and the musicality to NOT play 64th notes unless you hear a reason for it. The band's sound in general makes me think of an updated Hendrix.

But I suspect that if I heard a whole set, I'd start getting awfully tired of that curved soprano by the fourth or fifth tune, and really be wanting to hear some tenor or alto or flute or clarinet. Or at least some processing on that horn. The guy's a fine player, but that sound....

Incidentally, have you ever heard Morglbl? Not that you sound just like them - you don't - but they have a related idiom and aesthetic. French band, led by Christophe Godin - who is considered a top-rank guitar hero, but only in France. However, in this case, the French are right.

Drummer needs to switch hands on the high hat - then we have a mini Billy Cobham vibe. Physique is similar. haha. Playing is solid - guitar is excellent. I prefer something a bit different with that tone and sound though. Just typical sounding guitar otherwise. Good stuff though!

Saw them open for Holdsworth...they were really good. They seemed to impart a Middle-east vibe to their brand of fusion (not surprising, given two members from Eretz Yisrael).

Breaking the cycle is quite excellent.
Please don't ask questions, just use google.

Never let good music get in the way of making a profit.

    Yes!
I have Breaking the Cycle. A great pedal-to-the-metal cd. I do need to get the new one.

I saw you guys twice at Martyrs in Chicago; once opening for Holdsworth and once opening for Scott Henderson/Jeff Berlin/Mike Clark. I thought you guys were really good and you can definitely play the guitar! My one criticism was that several of your tunes ended rather abruptly, like you just suddenly stopped and I found myself saying, "that's it?" It's a minor criticism though. Kudos for fighting the good fight!

I've played with two bass players that passed through your band; Ian and Tim (Tim Seisser did play with you once or twice at least, right?). Tim was in a somewhat fusiony Brazilian band with me and Ian used to sub for him from time to time.

Don't mind Peter; he often likes to remind us that he hates all things jazz or fusion, in case we forgot.

    Anyway, nice work!
