Thought you horror fans would appreciate this; I've just been given the assignment of adapting, in sequential art form, Joe R. Lansdales short story 'The Fat Man' for the Cemetery Dance publication, Grave Tales. I guess at one time, The Fat Man was going to be part of the Masters Of Horror series, but the series was cancelled before it went into production. So now I get a shot at it...hell yeah! I've been wanting to work on one of Lansdales stories for a long time so this is some pretty exciting stuff for me!

I prefer the better of newer ones over older ones with exceptions for a few older favorites. Also I don't watch many movies at home anymore and prefer going to the theater.

Quick question about "Pearl" It is a sequel to another movie correct? Do you need to have seen the other movie to enjoy this one?

"Deep Red" from director Dario Argento. The prog connection is that it stars David Hemmings and has music by Goblin.

another film by Argento is the remake of Suspiria (2018). rather slow and overlong i thought but it does include a soundtrack by Thom Yorke of Radiohead.
the title tune is gorgeous.

Edit: Argento actually did the original version in 1977. it was Luca Guadagnino who did the remake in 2018.

Quick question about "Pearl" It is a sequel to another movie correct? Do you need to have seen the other movie to enjoy this one?

Pearl is actually a prequel to X and takes place in the early 20th century. I believe director Ti West made both films back to back. There is a sequel planned called Maxxine coming next year or so.

Wow, what a coincidence, just watched this one last week. Indeed, it's slow, although the opening-scene gives you a clue of what's coming in the end. Nice nude-scene b.t.w.
