    The 1975

Any fans if this UK band who's first album has just debuted at #1 ?
They cite their influences as Prince , Peter Gabriel , Eno , Michael Jackson , Talking Heads amongst others . They recently supported the Stones at Hyde Park .
For Brit fans , the lead singer is the son of Tim Healey (Auf Viedersehen Pet fame ) & actress Denise Welch (Corrie actress ).

EVERY band of the past 20 years has listed their influences as "Prince, Peter Gabriel, Talking Heads and Eno."

Not my cup of tea at all. I can't tell them apart from the other 74,000 Idol, BGT, indie bands of youngsters singing mediocre lyrics to forgettable tunes.

I meant on what chart were they number one? Something authoritative or some unknown internet site? I'll check out that link later today too.

    Are you surprised?

And only someone who hadn't lived through it would think "The 1975" was a clever name.
