I find most names rather 'funny' - if you know the people in the band it seems a little juvenile. Mature adults don't give themselves silly names, but musicians often do and don't find it strange at all.

Yeah, that's true. I think fewer mainstream ones, though, than underground prog ones. But I know we can all come up with some terrible mainstream band names
