    Little Tragedies: Prog from Russia

Is anyone familiar with this group? I own just 3 songs of theirs on the Colossus collection of Dante's Divine Comedy. But I just love what I hear. It's kind of a heavy symphonic prog, lots of keys but played with a near metal intensity, kind of frantic at times. Apparently they have been recording since the late 90's and have quite a few albums. Anyone familiar with them, and do the Colossus songs represent their general sound? If they do, I have to pick up some music by them. And it would be a first, as I own zero Russian prog albums.

Love em! They have a new live album coming out very soon.
Get - Return , New Faust, & Obsessed to start with.

Have heard much of the bands output, some is excellent, some a bit harder to digest, perhaps the Russian vocals for me anyway, but I do highly recommend "New Faust" as my personal favorite by them.

Great band musically. I agree the Russian vocals can be somewhat challenging. For a sampler, you can download their instrumental album "Magic Shop" here:

The free album was offered as a Christmas gift to their fans a while back.

One of my favorite bands. My suggestion would be start with their latest: Obsessed. If Russian vocals bother you, you can't go wrong with The Paris Symphony...all instrumental.

I don't think Russian vocals will bother much at all. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll have to check out some of these albums. I know Synphonic has several of them.
