Aparecidos - Palito Bombon Helado (AltrOck, 2012)

The thing about AltrOck-releases seems to be: the releases are like good wine; leave em be for a while and pick it up when you feel the need.

Today I picked up this gorgeous Latin-American-sounding release from Aparecidos. This is the way this neoprog-lover wants his avant-prog to sound like. Beautiful, good melodies, splendid production and mix (nod to Udi for that), and - easy on the ears.

One peculiar thing though: this is not the first AltrOck-release on which the notes talk about a recording-session years before release. Could be lot of reasons for this, but I'm just glad this release saw the light of day.
