    John Zorn - Mount Analogue

    This is spacey great..., with the vibes & odd vox..., reminds me of early magma in places.

    One of my favorites of last year just the right combination of elements that he has experimented with over the years. I think one of his finest.

    Listened again this morning, and MA really captures that eerie late 50s / 60s Twilight Zone meets Eric Dolphy vibe.

    This was in the number three spot for my albums of the year last year, and I was confident enough in it to give it as a Christmas present to a Zorn-agnostic friend (who was suitably won over). It's one of those albums that is just perfect to use as a refresher when you get "tired ears".
