rip Bobby. never forget going to see a triple header around 78 - bb king, muddy waters, and bobby blue bland (i'd never heard of bobby). he was the opener had the women swooning all over the theater
I remember seeing him with BB King the summer of 1980. His voice was more soulful than bluesy, but what a voice.
