Whew! I feel much better now.
Music isn't about chops, or even about talent - it's about sound and the way that sound communicates to people. Mike Keneally

Yup, I had gotten a sudden scare...
my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.

    Still exploring Brad Mehldau here.
I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

I find this to be much more post-rock than doom-jazz, personally

    But it was interesting, thx

^ Doomjazz is part of the name of the outfit, but I figured they call themselves that cause it's what they do. I. don't. know. But I do know this...

I "discovered" Mehldau about 6 months ago. What a treat its been! The guy is a monster - incredibly prolific, and the quality of his releases is consistently outstanding. My favorites, if I had to pick, would Trio Live and Places. Just great great stuff. I would love to see his trio live - I've been monitoring his site, but no dates planned yet.
