    Here's one:

    Rock....check
    Epic (meaning long)....check
Does it stand the test of time....not too well.

    Nantucket Sleighride - Mountain

But as a 14yr old in 1972, I LOVED Mountain and they were my 2nd concert ever.

Best two British hard rock epics - IMO.

    Great list.

For me replace Love To Love with 7 Screaming Diz Busters -BOC.
no tunes, no dynamics, no nosebone

Diz-Busters is one of my favorite BOC tunes and could've easily made this list if I wasn't on a UFO kick this past weekend.

All of these songs are part of the soundtrack to 8th-9th grade back in the daze.

pretty good list , though I'd change your san choice to War Pigs or Fairies wear Boots

And i'd defintely not put a UFO track in there, though

Phantopm Of The Opera or Remember Tomorrow from Iron Maiden's debut will fit in that list fine...

I'll also add Rush's Xanadu, Cygnus X-1 and 2112 in there

I know... that's why I prefer my list to yours (though I did say I like yours)...

I will re-listen to that strangely-titled UFO "epic" ASAP (you will admit that the Love to Love name does not hint at "epic", though)... What album is it on???

I was using song length (7+ minutes) to define my "epic" list, not song titles.

The studio version is on "Lights Out". There's also a killer live version on "Strangers".

    Here's the studio version:
