    Univers Zero

Univers Zero played a few gigs in Mexico recently with a new lineup:

And the rumour say that they will be in the studio in June or July.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

mmmhhh!!!... Love the music (could it have been otherwise), but as opposed to the previous background footages (namely those of the Implosion tour) are a bit too bleak for me.
my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.

Plenty bleak enough for me, love them. Guapo, Present & UZ at RIO, it's going to be fun.

They wouldn't be UZ without Daniel, same as Fripp and Crimson

Well last time they played here (to my knowledge) was at the Jacques Frank Centre in t Gilles (Brussels) some 14 months ago.

UZ has been a live band since June 26th 2004, but played only around 10 concerts in Belgium since.

If you're talking about the gig in February 2010 we both attended, that's a VERY long 14 months !

    Is it that long already???

I thought they might have played there since (I think the CCJF is the place where UZ has played most in Belgium ever since reforming in 2004)... that bloody place has absolutely no idea on how to promote their activities... You generally hear about a concert of theirs two weeks after it happened

Well, maybe, but they only did twice - I was there both times (2006 and 2010), and the list linked above doesn't mention any more.

yeah, I had checked in the meantime, my bad... I definetely missed out on the 2006 date.
Funny/strange, I seem to remember (I'm almost convinced, but the again, Al Zheimer is just around the bend ) a third time or at least a tentaive date, but maybe it was cancelled...

In either case, only 10 concerts in Belgium since 2004 (missed three of them), and (if I ciounted well) one more in France, though two of them are the Once Upon project

Nope, not on Cuneiform Records this time. On Arcangelo (Japan) and distributed by Diskunion.

In honor of 13-13 (November 13, 2013), and in honor of the new release coming in January, 2014, 'not on Cuneiform', we are having a 20% off sale on all UZ titles on Bandcamp.

Until midnight tomorrow, e.s.t. (the end of the day of 13-13), ALL Univers Zero titles at bandcamp are only $7.99 and you choose the sound format you want it in.

You can listen to a track and you can buy here:

please add 'imo' wherever you like, to avoid offending those easily offended.
