Just got a Ticketbastard email saying the Thursday, Sep 5 Oakland show goes on sale at 10AM tomorrow (Friday.) What's interesting is that it looks like both the Thursday AND Friday shows go on sale tomorrow, but the email only mentions the 9/5 gig.
I'm holding out for the Wilson-mixed 5.1 super-duper walletbuster special anniversary extra adjectives edition.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

I was vaguely toying with the idea of doing the VIP package (yeah, it's 400 smackers, but you get a tote bag!) when a buddy saved me by messaging me that he'd scored four balcony tickets and did I want one?

The Toronto show is outdoors, with weed now being legal, should be like the 70's, but not the ticket prices...

Yes I'll be at The Greek Theater in Los Angeles which is also an outdoor venue. And the Devil's weed is legal here too! Hope they play The Devil's Triangle and I also hope I remember the show!

Because they're doing "three continents" in 50 concerts. Averages to slightly less than 17 per continent.

The Mr. Stormy Monday Selections have been picked over for the Tour Boxes, but it'll be worth the money for me as long as those cool little essays that each track had when they got released on dgmlive find a home in the liner notes.

Is there a specific Crimson thread we're using to discuss the 50th anniversary tracks?

#3 is a new mix of Cadence and Cascade combining all four vocals takes, Haskell, Lake, Adrian, and Jakko.

Semi-related confession... For many years I assumed that "Giles" was pronounced the same as the surname of the chap who supplied the guitar playing for the J. Geils Band. I'd only ever seen it in writing.

    I do not believe so.

I got one at Manchester late last year, and I wouldn't get too enthusiastic.
It's just about strong enough to hold the concert programme and the exclusive 4-CD of live music.
It might survive a trip to the organic fruit & veg shop, but not too many times.

The mystery of the missing middle section of the Law of Maximum Distress (missing in plain sight!) is the subject of this week's track.

Re: The "self-inflicted wound". So we're to believe that they chopped a section of live tape to reuse as the basis of a quasi-studio piece by way of overdubbing, used some engineering magic to make it sound exactly like tape running out, and then they forgot, and close to 20 years later they were fooled by their own studio shenanigans and thought they were dealing with a tape-ran-out scenario?
