My review of the original soundtrack to Knut Hamsun's Victoria, by Jan Bang, Erik Honoré, Gaute Storaas and Arve Henriksen, today at All About Jazz.

Given the cinematic nature of Bang, Honoré and Henriksen's own work, it's no surprise they are now branching out into scores, but while this is a more orchestral suite of music (thanks to Storaas' participation), there are still plenty of markers that make this belong in the Norwegian Punkt family's ouevre. A beautiful recording that, like the best soundtracks, stands on its own as a distinct entity as well.
