    Katatonia - Brave Murder Day

I just pulled this one out to play. Man what a great album of melancholy and atmospherics. Hauntingly beautiful. Not for everyone due to the harsh vocals, but I think they go very well with the music. Any fans?

The only Katatonia album I have heard is Dead End Kings, which I like. I listen to the song "Brave" you posted above, and I enjoyed it. If that is enough to make me a fan, count me in.

Awesome record, although I haven't listened to it in a while. Akerfeldt's growls are awesome, and more than make up for the fact that Jonas Renske hadn't yet found his voice as a clean singer. He's awesome now, but he was still getting his feet wet on BMD. Also, this was their last album with Renske drumming, yes? (Another good call, IMHO).
