Hell, they ain't even old-timey ! - Homer Stokes
Indeed, I think FM's Bare Trees, Genesis W & W and P. Green's White Skys form the template for this type of cover.

At least the trees look bare, but there is some undergrowth and I am still uncertain as what season it could depict.
"The world will soon be right again,
Innocence and undying love will reign." - Transatlantic
Nice one Trurl, a classic cover!
It doesn't get more autumnal than this one; the bare trees and the geese flying south. As for the music...meh....new agey, a bit electronica, bordering on supermarket music. I bought it years and years ago & looking back I think I probably bought it on what the cover alone promised....it didn't deliver, Wind & Wuthering it most definitely isn't!

"She said you are the air I breathe
The life I love, the dream I weave."
Unevensong - Camel
How did I forget this musical masterpiece? Just remembered it had a bare tree.
A very autumnal photo of ELP in the woods, from the inside cover of Trilogy.
Anekdoten's debut Vemod - and to a lessser extent their latest studio as well
Anglagard makes it a point about forest in the fall in their booklets...
Isn't there also a bare tréé in Floyd's Division bell or a live album of that era??
my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.
