You missed my point. It was either short or pulled back in 77 (although I've never seen it pulled back in any photos). I acknowledged that it was long afterward.

I was really wondering if he could have cut it and let it grow back, which seems doubtful. Hence, my being puzzled.

Once again, it's a total nonsense of a topic, even though Bongo wants to use it as another opportunity to display his lack of social skills

I swear, you can find anything on the Internet these days.

Well, there you go, then. He must have had his hair tied.

Now that that's settled, we can move onto less-serious matters like world peace.

Now you don't have to be "bummed" anymore.

    Glad I could help,

I was thinking the same thing.

Of course, that's easily overcome by the fact that I saw them touring my favorite of their albums (AFtK).

plus, it was a bonus that the opening band (AC/DC) didn't play because Bon Scott was ill.

LOL! I once filled in a cassette insert (remember those?) for a CSNY tape, and accidentally wrote that title out as Almost Cut Your Hair. How we laughed at my mistake...

Neil with the Gates Barbecue shirt would date this at the time of Farewell to Kings, because I had a copy of Circus magazine with an article on them after the release of AFTK and this photo appears to be from the same set that appeared in Circus, same haircuts and clothing.

I noted that the photos in Permanent Waves tour guide and album showed him sans moustache and with shorter hair, but its possible he could have done that during the latter part of the Hemispheres tour. I saw both tours and gotta say my memory is hazy on details like that.
You say Mega Ultra Deluxe Special Limited Edition Extended Autographed 5-LP, 3-CD, 4-DVD, 2-BlueRay, 4-Cassette, five 8-Track, MP4 Download plus Demos, Outtakes, Booklet, T-Shirt and Guitar Pick Gold-Leafed Box Set Version like it's a bad thing...

I know his hair is one of most mindboggling issue for Rush fans but frankly I do not care anymore. I have already advanced to more important issues like whether he also had Brazilian wax?

There was never any doubt in my mind regarding the hair thing since I saw Rush on Dec 12, 1977. I sat in front center balcony and took B&W photos with my 35MM SLR and got what I think are similar to some of the professional pics that I've seen from that tour. I was taking a photography night course at a community college and developed the negatives, but no prints. They've been in storage for 30 years. One of these days I'll dig 'em out.

I found the "Gates BBQ"/Cleveland pic by searching Fin Costello, who took many photos of Rush and is most likely responsible for those that appeared in Circus.

You know, maybe it was simply a hair net.

My wife, the ultimate Rush chick, did not look at any pictures. She just mentioned Hemispheres. Life is good.

That has nothing to do with it. I couldn't care less about that. The original question was answered.

...surely not, the history will not be served if we do not answer question who was the hairstylist...

Can we "trim" out some of the extraneous posts now?

Ron, I'm shocked that we could discuss something so frivolous on a site so obviously dedicated to much weightier concerns...

Well, we could broaden the discussion and talk about Kimonos.

So when did Greg Lake start gaining all of that weight?

Then, why didn't you say that in the first place?
