NP: Sacred Reich.....The American Way..........
Ooooofffffff .....Killer thrash.
Queen did it all, and they certainly did some music that was metal IMO. Just saw Marc Martel, who did the vocals for the movie, at Progtoberfest 2 weekends ago and he was amazing. Also pulled out the Queen Rocks Montreal DVD last week for a viewing. The band was at the top of their game for that one. I only got to see them live once, but it was an amazing show.
Queen II is a forerunner of metal music for sure.
My metalhead friends dig Queen.
Unexpected comeback of Conception with the awesome Roy Khan (Kamelot)
This is Bandcamp's album of the day. Finishes with a cover of 21st Century Schizoid, if that helps...

Listening to Nothingface by Voivod.......again. If Gentle Giant were Thrash, they'd be called Voivod.
NP: Sacred Reich........
Independent.
Groove thrash. Sorta Pantera-ish. Cool lead vocal. A nice change from high pitched wailing.
I'm listening to Nuclear Assault while watching football......
Listening to a proto-metal compilation on Youtube. Some heavy bands I never heard of. I've seen the name Flower Travellin' Band but didn't know they were so heavy, and Japanese. I thought they were a hippy, drippy band from the UK or San Francisco....

Listening to .....Metal Church.....The Dark.
The Metal Church Live album is awesome. From The Dark era, released in the 90's I think.
I'm amazed at the depth, and breadth, of the influence of Judas Priest on 80s metal, British or American. Of the classic, heavy British groups from the 70s Priest really embraced Heavy Metal.
NP: Metal Church......Blessing In Disguise............Oooooffff
Listening to Iommi/Hughes The DEP Sessions. Wooofff. Heavy, soulful, killer.
NP: Iommi....Fused. It's another Tony and Glenn
Hughes collaboration. It's brickwalled as fuck but it's Tony and Glenn, who are Gods.
