The Samurai of Prog "Secrets of Disguise" (excerpts)

The Samurai of Prog release “Secrets of Disguise”

    OUT IN MAY!

The multi-national band is back with a double album, putting their own spin on classic progressive tunes plus new compositions. Performances and recordings are of the highest quality, and the CDs are accompanied by a beautiful 40-page booklet. This is a lovely homage to many of progressive music’s great works – some well-known and some lesser-known gems. We also see the band maturing into their own identity, as this, their second album, finds them penning fresh original tunes as well.

The Samurai are joined by a bevy of guest artists, making “Secrets of Disguise” a rich and textured feast for the ears. Guests include Jon Davison (Yes), Roine Stolt (Flower Kings), Guy LeBlanc (Camel), Robert Webb (England), David Myers, Mark Trueack (Unitopia), Phideaux Xavier, Kamran Alan Shikoh (Glass Hammer), Linus Kĺse (Anglagĺrd), Mento Hevia (Crack), Lalo Huber, Srdjan Brankovic, Ákos Bogáti-Bokor, Stefano Vicarelli, Risto Salmi, Octavio Stampalia, Matthijs Herder, Andrew Marshall, and many more!

Nice to see a Sandrose track in there! This actually sounds good to me. Generally not a fan of these kind of albums; I can listen to the originals if I want to. Still this sounds really good. I think I'll check it out soon.

"Very, very nice," said a man in the crowd,
    When the golden voice appeared.
She was gold alright, but then so is rust.
"Such a shame about the beard."
