I don't think Satch belongs on that list. I met him and found him to be incredibly humble.
If you click on the link, it clearly shows a picture of Animal from The Muppets. Btw, the inclusion of Terry Bozzio is due to his big drum kit. Regarding Neil Peart, I remember when Tim C from RATM was interviewed on Beyond The Lighted Stage, and he told a story about meeting Neil once. He tried to interact with Neil, but Neil said nothing and had him escorted from the dressing room. Tim then commented how that seemed like a dick move, but if someone like Tim approached someone like Neil, Time would've done the same thing in a similar situation.
Well, it wasn't just that he tried to interact with him. He praised him and that's what Neil doesn't like. When I saw that, I asked myself what I would say, knowing that Neil gets embarrassed from adoration. If someone introduced me, I'd say, "So, you're the new guy, right?" I think that would get a chuckle.
i heard that the first PT drummer exibited severe douchiness at nf.
"Douchiest?" Is that a real word?
At any rate, anybody can have a bad day when their behavior isn't at it's best, but when it's somebody famous, we're going to end up hearing about it because they don't have the kind of privacy that most of us take for granted. That's why you'll hear those kind of conflicting reports like,
"I talked to him and he was a great guy."
"Well I talked to him and I thought he was an asshole."
If reports of so-and-so being an asshole become widespread, I might begin to suspect it could be true. Still, I don't really care, unless it's somebody I'm going to have to deal with in real life. If it's not, all that matters to me is what I think of the person's artistic endeavors. Leave the other stuff to TMZ and others of that ilk.
Nah, these guys are okay. When they get to Steve Howe's level, THEN we can talk...
Gnish-gnosh borble wiff, shlauuffin oople tirk.
In my Terry Bozzio thread some weeks back, this is exactly what I was implying.
