What's Your Favorite Old Neo-Prog Album?

Thanks to ItalProgRules for the subject line! I thought it was a good idea for a thread.

Here are my top three non-obvious Neo Prog albums:

Red Jasper - The Winter's Tale
    Chandelier - Pure
Mad Puppet - King Laurin & His Rosegarden

There are ones better than these, but I like these and have a soft spot for them. The Red Jasper one is excellent actually.

Off the top of my head...

    Crucible - Tall Tales
Janison Edge - The Services Of Mary Goode
Citizen Cain - Somewhere But Yesterday

I love the Red Jasper albums too - mine are in a combo 2CD set. I would definitely include bands like Mindgames and Knight Area but they're a little more recent. Not sure how old 'old' is, but if '90s fits the bill, those three above are definitely among my choices.

I have no idea why, but some progsnobs have called Edhels "Neo", so Still Dream would be mine

I think the same progsnobs have labeled Iris - Crossing the Desert "Neo" as well, so there's another
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

Only barely "neo", and not really that old either. But it's very good.

My personal fave among the "classic" "neo" releases would probably have to be Twelfth Night's Fact & Fiction - Christ, it was 1982 and at least they dared applying a drum machine! Good tunes, some nasty lyrics and vox, dodgy production and bold arrangements - and arguably as influenced by The Fall as by anything "70s".

I really enjoy It Bites' Once Around the World as well, but it's not a "neo" release per se.

Obviously stuff from Marillion and IQ would be in my top choices, but the OP mentioned "non-obvious", so my choices still stand.

Yeah, I didn't have any specific number of albums in mind really, since in the subject line I said "Album," but *I* listed three

So you can give one, three, five - just not a huge list please.

I actually just remembered another few great ones:

Castanarc - Journey to the East (1991, Kinesis)

    Multi-Story - East/West

Aragon - Don't Bring the Rain (this song always reminded me of VDGG)

    IQ - Ever

    Solstice - Silent Dance
    Haze - C'est la vie
Aragon - Don't Bring The Rain

if we're not counting the obvious (IQ, Pendragon, etc) i'd go with these three...

    ps
Chandelier - Pure (yeah thats a good one too!)

    And chances are
This will save your soul or break it forever "

    I thought you meant O L D albums.....

... like IQ's The Wake, Marillion's Misplaced Childhood, etc.

But my favorite that I call Neo is "There IS no spoon"....

A little outside the box, but I've always liked Tsunami's "Anthem of the Great Wave", and Asgard's "Arkana" and "Imago Mundi".

I bought this from Synphonic several years back when Greg did one of his "OMG SUPER RARE!! HARDLY ANY SO BUY IT NOW!" descriptions and then I remember not being particularly enamoured with it. But now I can't remember a damn thing about it. Perhaps I should pull it off the shelf and refresh my memory, maybe I'll like it a lot more.

    and Pallas's The Sentinel
