This sounds so bizarre that I have to check it out

^ The Easy Stars All Stars DSOTM is really enjoyable!

My list, in no particular order:

-- The Flaming Lips w/ Stardeath and White Dwarfs: Speak to Me/Breathe
(with Henry Rollins doing the spoken-word bits!)
-- Easy Star All Stars: Time
-- Future Kings of England: Embryo
    -- California Guitar Trio: Echoes
    -- Primus: Have a Cigar

I just discovered this rather nice cover of High Hopes, by Daniel Cavanagh of Anathema:

I don't think I even know five, but I'll mention that OSI's "Set the Controls..." and Theo Travis's take on "See Emily Play" are excellent.

It was fu nny at first, but it's become almost a lack of respect.
That's sort of the point, although I'd call it irreverent more than outright disrespectful. It's a nice interesting angle. I wouldn't say those treatments take anything away from the originals.

    Ditto on both counts.

    Let me add:

Money- Alex Skolnick Trio (acoustic jazz version)

    Fearless- Fish
"Corn Flakes pissed in. You ranted. Mission accomplished. Thread closed."

Judy Dyble actually covered "See Emily Play". I've heard it; didn't like it much, I don't think she is suited to it.

I get a giggle out of The Not-So-Bright Side of the Moon, though it is kinda stoopid.

A Capella does DSOTM it's great..
I've got several Floyd tributes.. Us and Them is wonderful as is Saucerful of Pink and Pink Box..
The Machine is the only tribute band I've seen do Floyd in it's entirety but they do it great.. Saw Umphrey's McGee do SOYCD a couple years back and it was dead on..

I was totally expecting that picture of the hot chicks with the album covers on their backsides. A slight misread of the thread title.

Still, digging the OSI version of Set The Controls...

How about the Melvins version of "the nile song?"

Actually their version of "Interstellar Overdrive" sounds pretty good too.

Early 80s version of another brick in the Wall by Italian band Pink Project, but track entitled Disco Project, from their album Domino.
