Well, I kind of have mixed feelings about this, seeing as how Francesco Di Giacomo was such a signature part of the band. But new Vittorio Nocenz material can't be a bad thing.

And if there were a god, I think it very unlikely that he would have such an uneasy vanity as to be offended by those who doubt His existence - Russell
Hmmm....I'll probably need to hear a track or two first but this could be quite nice.

I like it a lot!!!

Suprisingly good!

I'm impressed. Want it!
^^^ Give us a review when you've got the time... I'm inclined to buy it whenever I next order from one of our favorite prog vendors. The two above tracks are very good... even if they don't sound like what I think of as Banco. The prison of expectations, I know...
But a question for you Banco-heads: is this just Nocenzi and a bunch of new guys? I don't really know much if any Banco music since that of the 70s so I don't know if any of these guys have been members for a while. For those of you who saw Banco at NF back in the 00s: How many of these guys were with the band then?
I was impressed too.

Francesco wanted Banco to go on, it was him who chose Tony D’Alessio
in case I die, mark him as substitute for the band he told Vittorio.
An amazing album, looking forward prog that thankfully leaves aside the tempting retro sound to please fans from that era, the best comeback album one can expect, a band clearly in 2019.
Top of my list for best of this year so far

There are two kinds of music. Good music, and the other kind. ∞
Duke Ellington.
My vinyl copy was just shipped. As is typical in El Nino years, we're having a late spring. It's not yet too hot to have vinyl shipped.

Got this today and just gave it a listen. Not bad, but not as good as I'd hoped. Yeah, it's better than anything Banco has done since Canto di Primavera, but that's not saying much. There are some good tracks, but overall it lacks cohesion. It feels like things happen for no reason, and it doesn't feel as if it builds toward much as a whole. It also has a kind of samey vibe about it - everything sort of sounds similar. I think a lot of this has to do with the rhythm section, which has a very mechanical feel. Ending was a bit weak too. Obviously, it needs more spins, but for me I think this will be something of an uphill battle to find things to like, rather than gain deeper appreciation with time. We'll see.
Funny, the CD has two live bonus tracks, Metamorfosi and Il Ragno. Hearing these done by this band just show how much is missing in the new music. Hoping it grows on me, but my first impression is pretty so-so.

Musically is ok, but the new vocalist is rather annoying.
I just can't stand that way of singing.
As long as you don't compare it to the original Banco it's not too bad. I have to spin in multiple times to form a clear opinion.
I just found the new Banco cd in a used cd store ... sealed for $1.98 😆 I haven’t open it yet ... hope it’s a decent listen.
I love it!!! Is it as good as those early BMS albums? Obviously not!!! Only a handful of bands have ever achieved that kind of perfection (Yes, Genesis, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, PFM).
That said, Transiberiana is a terrific ride. Modernish Prog yet with enough of the quirky old sound to satisfy. And Tony does a nice job. Those are some mighty big shoes to fill!!!
Highly recommended. It will rank very high on my year end list.

Most likely so. Their lost my friend😉. I find a lot of Prog cds at McKays in Greensboro, NC. Just need the three hours to search from A to Z ...😆😆
