    Leland Sklar Interview

Long one of my idols- he has been one of the hardest working musicians in history, literally on thousands of albums and CDs. This is a pretty informative interview.
I'm not lazy. I just work so fast I'm always done.

The wisdom of a man is still the length of his beard.

He basically says "I won't bring it up, but if the younger people bring it up.... I'll give em an earful"

I wish he would have talked a little about playing on Spectrum by Billy Cobham.

    That’s exactly what I d hoped for :-(

    That mean slippery Stratus groove!

Once again reference to sort of the YouTube generated content, lots of million mile per hour playing, copying but not much creating. Is this a problem or just a phase? I play hobby drums and want to give up at the speed and dexterity of 7 year old kids playing along to Dave Weckl :-(

I was hoping for a little on Stratus as well, but it was a nice interview.

My bass idol as well (same first name as my father). Totally under recognized behind James Taylor. In great shape at 71 years old.
