    Your MLB walk-up song

A baseball player's walk-up song is a unique and special way for players to both express themselves and their own taste in music as well as pump themselves and the crowd up for their next at-bat...
So, you’re a professional baseball player, and you’re next at bat. Please share your walk-up song here...

After not so much consideration, I’ve settled on the following for myself:

It would be either the opening riff of Rage Against the Machine's Bulls on Parade, or King Crimson's Easy Money. And then I'd strike out.

    ^^^^^^

When I played in a Prog group in the 70s, our "walk on" music was the music that accompanied the title credits at the beginning of each Hitchcock episode, the sustained chord and tympani hits.

For several reasons, only some of which are known here, there is only one song that fits for me. My e-mail address also reflects it.

Has anyone batted while sitting on a park bench?

I'd want something with some swagger and strut to it

I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

Sure. Why not? These are all good.
...I’m guessing Progeezer’s talking about Aqualung?
As far as honesty goes, I think a certain amount of hype goes with the territory.

In this day and age, we don’t stand for dead air, even if it only lasts 15 seconds. It’s the player’s prerogative to make a choice, otherwise he/she is leaving it up to some yahoo to decide what music plays when they’re up to bat.

My high school hockey team got to pick our warm up music at home games. Now, this was 2001-2005. We would usually go on to some kind of hair metal or nu-metal or something else that fit the type. Once, though, on my junior year, a few of us conspired to have us skate out to "Bicycle Race" by Queen.

Our coach was beyond furious with our silliness.

Could care less about baseball. That being said, a few years back the next baseball city over in MD had a reliever who wanted to play Nazareth's Hair of the Dog as his walk-on song. You know the one, " Now your messing with, a Son of A Bitch!" Would have been awesome; sadly denied.

I was attending an American school in Amman, Jordan part of my jr. year ( actually correspondence school for 11+12 grade ). The newly elected student council opened their first student assembly coming on stage to a blaring Sabbath's War Pigs, all playing different air "instruments". Possibly the coolest thing I witnessed in school; ever. Totally unexpected. We had a Prince, Princess and future American-television actress who attended and I'm positive they still remember that walk on and complete performance.
