Vermont, USA artrock band The Winter Tree have released their new album "Topaz Islands Dreaming". The album contains 10 deep-cut cover songs from Pink Floyd, Elton John, Joni Mitchell, Prefab Sprout, and others.

This looks like a really interesting collection of covers and new material. My teenager might even be interested in it! (Donovan, Elton John, Yeats, Zeppelin, Floyd).

Is it going to be on Bandcamp?

Wow, Lake Isle of Inisfree is excellent, and Nad sounds great!

Thanks! This is just a limited run on CD as licensing really ups the cost. I won't be doing a digital release of the whole album, but I did do a digital EP of the 4 original songs a few months ago thru Cdbaby called "Topaz EP". It might be on Bandcamp as Cdbaby incorporates many different sites on their digital releases.
It was a lot of fun working with Nad!

So far I can only find the EP on CDBaby - not the CD anywhere. I guess the CDs aren't actually out there just yet?

JKL, when you order, I highly recommend also picking up Andrew's last cd Mr Sun. I think it's his finest work to date(not including the new one, as I don't have it yet).
It is so much more than just MR SUN with former vocalist with Tony Banks on Bankstatement, Alistar Gordon. The album is one of my wife's and mine favorite albums by an independent artist in 2018.
It is deep and diverse and the guest musicians and vocalists are 5 star. The writing and music is superb.

I already ordered the new one, but thanks for the recommendation. I guess I'll see what I think about this one.

Thank you for shipping the cd so quickly Andrew, it arrived Friday, just in time for Friday night music at our house. We had several albums arrive which had been ordered from Christmas, including the new Dave Kerzner In Continuum and a Remastered Pink Floyd's The Wall on 180g vinyl. So we only got halfway through it as we listened to one of your other cd's, The Best Of..first.
Love what you and Nad did with 60 years On, it's one of my favorite EJ songs and up to the Ray Thomas Tide Rushes In song, so tonight we will listen to the rest of the cd.
As I wrote to you, doing cover songs can be a bit risky because people have their favorites, but you manage to bring your unique character and style of writing and music to each song and make the The Winter Tree style and that's good. Once you quit comparing them to the original, they take on new life and again, I love the Winter Tree treatment.

Keep doing what you're doing, the world needs soulful music and people like you sharing it.
    peace

Just listened to the new The Winter Tree and I must say this is a real fine collection of covers and original material.
