I attended more shows in 2018 than I ever have in a single calendar year, close to 140, so cutting the list down to 25 wasn't easy. I'm not going to parse which are prog (many are not). As far as I'm concerned, if I enjoy a concert, it doesn't matter what you call it. I'm listing the shows chronologically since there is no way I could rank them in order of preference:

Simon Phillips -- 2-1-18 Jazz Cafe, Detroit
Steve Hackett -- 2-3-18 Cruise To The Edge V
Stickmen -- 2-3-18, Cruise To The Edge V
Knifeworld -- 2-4-18 Cruise To The Edge V
Gong -- 2-5-18, Cruise To The Edge V
Marillion -- 2-18-18 20 Monroe Live, Grand Rapids
Dixie Dregs -- 3-22-18 Carnegie Music Hall, Pittsburgh
The Residents -- 4-19-18 Mod Club, Toronto
Alice In Chains -- 5-1-18 Massey Hall, Toronto
Barock Project -- 5-5-18 Majestic Theater, ROSfest, Gettysburg
Threshold -- 5-5-18 Majestic Theater, ROSfest, Gettysburg
Aurora -- 5-28-18 Velvet Underground, Toronto
Ben Harper & Charlie Musselwhite -- 5-29-18 Mod Club, Toronto
Alan Parsons Project -- 6-5-18 Copernicus Center, Chicago
Vök -- 7-20-18 LungA Festival, Seydisfjordur, Iceland
David Byrne -- 8-8-18 DeVos Hall, Grand Rapids
Soften The Glare -- 9-1-18 Storybook Farm, Progday, Chapel Hill
Agnes Obel -- 9-20-18 Magic Stick, Detroit
    Nick D'Virgilio Project -- 10-19-18 Reggie's, Progtoberfest, Chicago
Gramps The Vamp -- 10-21-18 Reggie's Progtoberfest, Chicago
    Westward -- 10-21-18 Reggie's, Progtoberfest, Chicago
Kamasi Washington -- 11-5-18, Sony Centre, Toronto
Roosevelt -- 12-10-18 Mod Club, Toronto
Stars (Montreal band) -- 12-12-18 Danforth Music Hall, Toronto
My Brightest Diamond -- 12-12-18 Danforth Music Hall, Toronto
