I blame Wynton, what was the question?

my review from the fun show the other night (Wednesday) in Minneapolis.

I had to include the obligatory songs list I love, that did not show up of course.

Saw them tonight down in Akron! Great show! They made a lot of funny comments between the songs. I don't know what's been discussed in this thread, so I won't give any spoilers. I will say they played about 5 or 6 songs I don't think Pink Floyd ever played live. If you have any interest at all in pre-Dark Side Of THe Moon Pink Floyd, this show is a must see!

There is an opening act. Singer that plays acoustic. 40 minute set.

    Nick plays a couple hours.

    Thanks
THe show I saw, the opening act started right at 7:30, if not slightly earlier. Saucerful Of Secrets came on circa 8:30, and played for circa 1:35 (I had the stopwatch on my Timex Ironman running).

the opening act reminded me a little of the Floyd-influenced UK artist SOAK and in fact he knew SOAK.

Seeing this band in Manchester was the live highlight of 2018 for me.
I'm more than envious that there's an extra 2 songs in the setlist now - here's hoping for a live DVD.

Well that was cool. I'm sure there's now speculation of a PF reunion of some sort, although I have a feeling Nick would put the kabosh on it immediately. I'm sure he's fine with RW walking on to do a song or two, but the minute that robs focus from the other guys in the band it probably takes the fun out of it.

Plus RW bashing that gong behind him for more than one show is going to be hell on his ears!
I'm holding out for the Wilson-mixed 5.1 super-duper walletbuster special anniversary extra adjectives edition.

There's been "speculation of a PF reunion" for 25 frelling years. Ever since the end of the 1994 tour, there's been all kinds of speculation. All through the late 90's, it seemed like I kept hearing lines like "Pink Floyd are going to get back together, Roger Waters included, and do one show in front of the Pyramids in Egypt, for New Year's Eve" or "They're going to play The Wall, in front of the Great Wall of China" or whatever.

Then after the Live 8 concert, there was more speculation. I guess there was talk that something could happen. But I believe I read that after Rick Wright went home, David Gilmour pretty much said Pink Floyd was a done deal.

We can speculate all we want, I just don't think there's any motivation for them to do a reunion. They certainly don't need the money (I don't know what the current statistic is, but I read once that Dark Side Of The Moon was something like the fourth or fifth best selling album of all time. And I'm not sure Dave and Roger are interested in being in the same band again. And with Rick's passing, I just don't think any of them think it would respectful to do Pink Floyd without him. That's just my take on it.

A fun watch. 'Set The Controls...' was one of their greatest ever live numbers- always spectacular live based on various 60s/70s recordings.
