Every Jon Anderson after 1980 has been a huge letdown for me so not interested.

Also no Stolt...
I suspect this is a poor collection of half-baked leftovers from over the years, but i hope to be proven otherwise!!
http://www.bondegezou.co.uk/wnja.htm#1000 has background on this. There's no pre-order link yet: that's what appears on 25 Oct.
This album is about half built on a project started in c. 1990/1, possibly the Uzlot project by Brian Chatton (composer) and Anderson (lyricist). Squire, White and probably Howe's parts were recorded then. Rabin, Wakeman and most of the guests appear to have recorded parts in 2017/8.

Jon Anderson's half-baked leftovers are still far greater than the best of anyone else. I predict that this album will be a monumental achievement, and will become widely recognized as one of the seminal works of our time. I also predict a heavy uptick in UFO traffic as extraterrestrials fly in from other galaxies to pick this one up.
Oh no....
Music isn't about chops, or even about talent - it's about sound and the way that sound communicates to people. Mike Keneally
Pat Travers posted this this past April:
Hey there. So I got to meet Jon Anderson yesterday afternoon. He's been working on a project here in Orlando with my good friend Michael Franklin. They asked me to play some guitar on a song. So that's kinda cool, I'm on Jon Anderson's new solo album. This is an awesome project. Jon started working on the music about twenty-seven years ago. Michael got involved as an arranger at some point and then they got a whole bunch of heavy-hitters to play on it. Billy Cobham, Ian Anderson, Jean Luc Ponty, Chick Corea, and the list goes on. Not surprisingly the album title is "1000 Hands". I don't have a link yet but when I do you'll be the first to hear it (not really but it makes me feel good to say that). Instead here's a rocking' little tune that features Jon Anderson's incredible voice. Oh, and by the way, Jon is a very charming, friendly, and quite a handsome man from Lancashire in the northwest of England. Here's YES...with.."Hold On"! Cheers, PT
And when asked how the album sounded, Pat replied thusly:
mostly Jon Anderson sounding. Lots of instrumentation, strings, horns, harp, keyboards, guitar in and out, and a lot of wonderful choral performances. This one is very special. Cheers, PT
Could be good. Very curious.

I have no time for ARW (or "OYes" for that matter), but the way Jon's voice is sounding these days, if this new recording proves to have any DNA in common with Olias, I'm in.

Happy with what I have to be happy with.
I don't think this album is particularly in the style of Olias. The use of the symbol on the cover is just because Anderson sticks that on everything.
But I look forward to this album: Invention of Knowledge was great and Anderson has done some other good collaborations recently.

If it isn't Krautrock, it's krap.

Is it called 1000 hands because of the number of people who e-mailed in their contributions?
