i'm an atheist and i have no problem with Neal's religion or his lyrics.
at the end of the day we're all our own individual selves.
I don't have a problem with him singing about god per se, what irks me is more the exalted way he calls out to him at times, or the superlative way he refers to him (the prince of the power of the air, the king of angel armies...)
Not just a Genesis fanboy.
Neal is very passionate about what he's writing/singing. I wish more artists were.

Think darker... Darker than farts... If that's possible...

in the 5th listening, i am leaning towards this album being better then it's younger sibling.
I'm around the 5th listening as well. It's definitely a lot of music to take in. My first impression was not so good but I'm warming to it. I don't see it topping Similitude in my book, but I guess it all depends how much metal leanings and all-out prog extravaganza you expect from these guys. There's definitely more of this on the new album.

Don't try to lay no boogie woogie on the kings of rock 'n roll....
