    Martijn Comes/Action Friend

A couple of new items thanks to the Avant Music News blog:

Really good...seems like a split release with Giulio Aldinucci. Both extended pieces (about 20 minutes each) are good but I think the star here is Comes piece. He touches on a few electronic stylings such as straight deep listening ambient and some old style Berlin school sequenced stuff. What I liked the most about it was the dynamic shifts he employs. Try and listen to this one as loud as you can.

This is just a teaser but I was able to find the entire album in iTunes. The teaser is a little misleading because it's more of a math-metal album, maybe in the style of Naked City. The chops aren't really up there with NC but their heart is in the right place. There is alot of ideas bouncing around, some lasting only a few seconds, thus my NC reference. It's a fun listen but not quite sure of it's "must revisit" appeal.
