Henry Cow live box set - Vol. 9 “Late” incl. their set at that 1st RIO festival. Superb. Their improvisations really grab me like nothing else. Intense, abstract and blasting through realms unknown. One reviewer described it as Henry Cow at their most cacophonous and catastrophic.

With a VERY few exceptions (Kylver being a notable example) every time I listen to these cds I find myself thinking 'if this is the future of prog, then prog has no future'...
