    Crayola Lectern-Happy Endings.Just out.

Chris Anderson is the brains behind Crayola Lectern. The new release, Happy Endings is a collection of songs, masterfully arranged and orchestrated. Some tracks remind me of Cardiacs;i get a hint of Robert Wyatt or Peter Gabriel from other tunes. What matters is the skill with which Anderson uses his influences to craft a coherent, tuneful album.Even the vocals don't get on my nerves(unusual, for me).

A couple of musicians on the album have played in Cardiacs. The songs reveal more of themselves with every listen.A winner.

I found this recently on bandcamp
    https://crayolalectern.bandcamp.com/releases

    Their first album too

I've been playing both a lot the last week or so and I will certainly get both albums on the next BC artist support sale. Very melodic, melancholic and psychedelic 'pop' tunes. William D Drake and the Sea Nymphs are good references.

Band has Jon Poole, Bob Leith and Bic Hayes in the lineup so HIGHLY recommended for all pondies. In fact, highly recommended for everyone!
