    Best of 2018 so far

yes, it is high time to start this thread.

    My top 7 so far.
    1 Camembert - Negative toe
    2 Not a good sign - Icebound
    3 GoGo penguin - A humdrum star
4 Homunculus Res - Della stessa sostanza dei sogni
    5 Richard Wileman - veil
    6 Dinosaur - wonder trail
    7 Pinoil - Bran Coucou

I also like Kavus Torabi's - Divination and Aquaserges- Deja-vous a lot but the first is only a 3-song EP and the latter a live album so I do not include them in my list.

    Eagerly awaiting;
The New Jack O'the clock, Needlepoint, Cheer accident and Basta!

I haven't bought any new releases this year so far sadly. There seems to be a shrinking list of bands that I am interested in buying new releases from:
Steven Wilson, Anathema, Blackfield, Riverside, Threshold, Dream Theater, Yes, Tim Bowness, Mostly Autumn, Maschine, Kansas, Opeth, Iamthemorning, Enchant, Solstice, Pendragon.
I'll have a listen to some of the stuff that pops up on this thread.

There's a lot I need to catch up on already but currently floating my boat are:

Idris Ackamoor and The Pyramids: An Angel Fell
Daphne and Celeste: Save The World
    Richard Wileman: Veil
    Zofff: FFF
    The Laze: Crystal Plumage

Following the excellent Post-Society EP, I'm really excited at the prospect of a new Voivod album.

    Malady Toinen Toista
Daphne And Celeste Save The World
    The Prog Corner

It's a 2017 release. It already smells funny in the living room.
But I don't mind having it in my top10 for 2018. It's that good.

Yes. This immediately put a smile on my face. Sunny, happy, proggy. Great guitars. Cheers.

Glad to see a few folks have listed Daphne & Celeste's Save The World. That's a great disc.

I completely forgot about the Fernando Perdomo one, Out To Sea. I need to hear that!

The ones that gain my favors - so far...

    Ill Considered - 3
The Final Age - The Final Age

I urge people to listen to both of these puppies, if they have a liking toward jazzy, trippy music. A proof that the Brits are not completely out of the game.

    The Messthetics
    Fire! - The Hands
Anne Von Hauswolff - Dead Magic
John Johanna - I'll be ready when the great day comes

    The Prog stuff

    Malady - Toasty something...
Homunculus Res - Della Stessa Sostanza...
    Notagoodsign - Icebound
Aquaserge - Deja Vous (no accents, I am too tech-primitive for that)
Fernando Perdomo - Out of Sea

Still waiting for my Piniol LP to arrive. On the whole not so much. Don't lose hope.
