Rats' Alley • New Digital Painting by Robert Burger aka The Gak Omek

This is a commissioned cover for "Rats' Alley" an upcoming CD by Michael P. Dawson, a fellow PE member (aka Mister Triscuits), who saw my work here on PE and liked what he saw. The painting is based on the poem "The Waste Land" by T.S. Eliot.

    Wow. That is really cool.

    I really dig it!

Thanks for doing such an awesome job, Rob! The CD has a ways to go before it's completed, but I will be proud to have your artwork on the cover!

Wonderful stuff (again!) Nice to see a collaboration between two PE-members.

Very nice. In some way it reminds of the cover of Strange Days from The Doors.

That's amazing, Robert! Such character and detail... It's like you're the Peter Cross of the Art Deco macabre!

That's badass, dude! 40 years ago, Last Gasp and Rip-Off Press would've signed you up for their covers in a heartbeat.

Thank you, thank you. Back in the day I did some comic covers for Kitchen Sink Press and one for Heavy Metal, though my style was quite a bit different than it is today.
