I'll be glad when the draft (and all the pseudo insider pontification it elicits) is over.
Yeah, that's it. I heard some analyst describe him that way, but it was a HoF reference.

Progeezer, I need your sage input....

Steelers signed Morgan Burnett today. I admit to knowing nothing of him. Can you give me your opinion?

So Seattle picked up TJ Smith from Cleveland, former of Philly... any opinions?

My opinion, which should please you, is that the Packers let their best safety go & I was pissed.

Don't know him, but secondary is one of the weakest position groups on the team, and they let him walk, after signing some depth guys.

I really do not see how Jordy Nelson is a step up from Michael Crabtree. Maybe the latter was a cancer in the locker room?

I don't know that he is, at this point. I heard someone who analyzed footage of Nelson pre and post injuries, and they claimed the injuries have diminished his skills, which is why Green Bay didn't re-sign him. I have no idea if that's accurate, but that's out there.

Also what I heard. Meanwhile Crabtree was our most dependable receiver over the last couple of seasons. He dropped off last year but the entire offense dropped off. A head scratcher for sure... Hope Gruden knows what he's doing. He's supposed to be around for the next decade!

And if he had anything left in the tank, you would think the Patriots would have been all over him. They love those overachieving white guy WR types.

You can call me a homer (don't bother-rhetorical), but I think my old friend north of here will be pleasantly surprised.

I hope so. I think Gruden sees something there. I was a Crabtree fan though, and I knew the moment Nelson was signed Crabtree was out the door. I think the Ravens will be getting a good slot receiver who can move the chains. Not sure he has that outside speed anymore, if he ever did, but he's got great hands and feet.

I believe that is known as a "meme", Scott.

    Good one though, no doubt.

Wild crazy trades are back in style in the NFL. Going to be a wild month going into the draft.

^ They used to always be on draft day too. Now they're happening weeks out

Yep. The NFL has it made. They're staying relevant during NCAA March Madness, dominating spring Major League Baseball and the draft will spill over into the NBA playoffs.

Some thugs figure out how to behave when they strike it rich and some obviously don't. Admitted former crack dealers Jay-Z and Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, for instance, have been open about it and have used both their money & their mouths to steer inner city kids away from that kind of life.

This whole story is odd, though. Why is a 66-year-old paraplegic working security at the Super Bowl? And why did she wait over a year to file charges? How is it that (according to reports) neither the Seahawks nor the Eagles were aware of this?

She didn't file charges. It was after the investigation that Houston police made the call.

Okay. So, why didn't they arrest him at the scene?

I'm not saying that it's not legit, or that Bennett shouldn't be disciplined, or whatever. I just have a lot of questions about the whole thing.
