It's not out yet, so, no, no one can describe the bonus track. But we do know it's sung by Howe and was probably written by him.

The cover art, as one can see at the website, is taken from the internal art of the 2011 release.

This is clearly advertised as an alternative version and doesn't appear to even be getting a general release, so I can't see how it constitutes scrubbing the original version.

If they start whitewashing Bruford's drums, I'm out for good....

Horn reportedly did approach Davison about his re-doing the vocals.

The original album was already the fourth version of the title track to be released. Horn sang on the first three, and now does on the fifth.

There is no indication of that at this time (but they haven't said they won't).

Yes did new studio versions of "Roundabout" and "South Side of the Sky" on The Ultimate Yes, not that anyone complained about history being scrubbed at the time.

    Other new news...

Other band members have also done new overdubs on the record.

Horn to guest on 3 shows of the European tour. So that will be Howe, White, Downes, Kaye and Horn on stage (possibly not all at the same time).

And here I was being facetious. I was not aware they did that, don't know what the point would be. That's the Ultimate Insult to Bruf!

After googling different versions of this picture--with Trevor, with Benoit, and with both--it actually looks like the version on the Pledgemusic page is the original picture, which Benoit was photoshopped into. The version without Trevor has a black diagonal across Chris's chest, presumably meant to pass for his jacket.

This was a great opportunity to replace Bumpy Ride. Oh well. I'm sure a version of this will show up on YT, so I'll wait until then, otherwise I can't imagine why I need to here Horn sing lead.

What Id rather hear is Horn going back through the Yes catalog since 90125 and remixing a selection of tunes. Obviously the difference between a so-so Yes album and a very good one has been Horn. Guitarists, keyboardists, and singers have come and gone but Horn had been the best helmsman all along.

I haven't been following Yes for many years. What was the lineup that recorded the original version of the album and who is replacing whom?
You say Mega Ultra Deluxe Special Limited Edition Extended Autographed 5-LP, 3-CD, 4-DVD, 2-BlueRay, 4-Cassette, five 8-Track, MP4 Download plus Demos, Outtakes, Booklet, T-Shirt and Guitar Pick Gold-Leafed Box Set Version like it's a bad thing...

I love the album as it is. I am not planning on picking up the new version.

Harvey Fierstein is replacing Mel Brooks’ original vocals.

You don't mind, do you?"

    "...Well, I suppose not..."

    "K, thanks, bye."
"And by the way, Benoit... there was a toilet on the tour bus. We were kidding all along.

I love Fly from here, but if they add a nice new epic, I will buy. Just for new vocals? I have no interest in this.

He's talking about the 3rd disc of that release where they did "acoustic" versions of Roundabout / South Side https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JgZMe0CBeBE

Wait...what? Why wouldn't you get Horn to sing that, too?

Howe was against it, frankly insulted by even the notion of replacing his vocals.

In fairness to Bill, he'd seen Steve Hillage get away with it for the 2,500 certificates of authenticity in his box sets and thought it would be okay.

ETA: The Progressive Ears lawyer Mr Waldorf T Flywheel has asked me to clarify that the above is by way of a jestment and not to be taken seriously.

Not that I doubt that, but the 2011 release was on Frontiers out of Italy, and Avalon from Japan. Judging by prices on eBay, discogs, etc, I'd say it's out of print. Ipso facto...

Edit - Same probably applies to In The Present (Live From Lyon)

I'd like to hear before I buy, or at least get assurances that there is enough of a difference to warrant the purchase.

A new Yes song isn't enough, because it is a little dicey that a new Yes song wold hold my interest.

Still, it is an album that has given me considerable enjoyment, which came as a surprise honestly.
Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world.
