The Sunday Post?!? Jings, it's changed since my day, when Jimmy Shand was as edgy as it got.

I now eagerly anticipate Robert Fripp turning up to give Oor Wullie guitar lessons.

"What was the worst look Yes ever had?
I had left the band for a while so I wasn’t in the photos, but the image for our hit Owner Of A Lonely Heart was the worst ever."

    "our hit?"

Hopefully he remembers that Asia also had a pretty terrible image in the same period. I've seen the 'Don't Cry' video.

Saw Yes in Brighton last night, they were on top form all round with loads of energy and enjoying themselves.

Dime has a recording of their recent Gateshead show and they're playing well. Downes, Sherwood and Schellen all on very good form. I'm seeing the band Saturday and Sunday, and will be at the Fan Convention.

Just downloading this as I type.. looks like Alan gets a little exposure this tour. Notes I've read say he comes on half way thru Ritual then he plays the two encores.

Yes. He was getting better from his back injury, such that he was doing over half of the drumming on last summer's US tour, but has now acquired a bone infection that's knocked him back. (I don't know Alan's medical details, but this kind of infection can be difficult to treat: recovery times of 6 months-1 year are typical.) So, he comes on about 2/3 of the way through "Ritual" and does the encore, about 20% of the show.

Schellen is playing very well: great work on the Gateshead boot, I thought.

Yeah when I saw them last summer he played quite a bit more than the details of this show indicate.. Plan to listen to Gateshead show today.
