    isn't preordering through bandcamp also a way of crowdfunding?

    And for me a better one. I like to have the bandcamp streaming and download anyway.

    I guess so, with the difference that a Bandcamp preorder means a commitment from the band to deliver the CD. I'm sure it will reach some people who have missed the initial crowdfunding and will help to close any funding gap.

    I think you may be right the crowfunding has gone up about 50% since the bandcamp preorders went up.

    No, the crowdfunding stayed the same, it is the goal that got down (from 5000 to 2000 )
