Thread: Benoit David or Jon Davison?

    Benoit David or Jon Davison?

Which singer does the better version of Tom Sawyer??

Neither do Yes as well as Anderson, but I think they both do Rush better than Anderson would!

Why is there a guy sitting on a throne playing guitar on the Jon Davison one? I give it to Benoit because that's too weird.

Why JA is not part of the poll? Does not qualify for the position? I guess is because JA never sung Tom Sawyer.

It sounds to me that Davison better fits Rush seat than Yes.

When David is at the top of his game, I far prefer him to Davison, in Yes or elsewhere. Love the TS above. But Davison has proven to be the dependable professional choice for long tours, something BD just couldn't handle, sadly.

I was impressed with Benoit on the 2009 and 2010 tours, then he really burnt his voice out by the time they co headlined with Styx. I think part of the reason was he was singing a bit above his natural range and it eventually took its toll.
He did a great job on FFH.
His range seems to be more in the Geddy Lee/ Dennis DeYoung area.
Davison seems to have almost perfect pitch. He's very impressive on the new live album.

I'm surprised Frumious hasn't chimed in yet since these are his two favorite whipping boys (well, when they were/are part of Yes, anyway). Then again, I just realized that haven't seen him around these parts lately.

Last I heard he's singing in a Jon Davison/Benoit David Tribute Band.

It’s kinda like the crappy neoprog singer edition of The Voice isn’t it? Lol.

That's Dave Grohl, who toured with a broken leg.

Jon Bon Don Davison, son of Jon, Benoit Davis (son of Miles and Bette Davis), Bongiovi and Don Johnson, son of John.

    He's the absolute best.

Forget Rush covers. Let's see who comes out on top when it comes to Yes covers!

Moronic statement. The Foos long ago proved themselves. They certainly do not “suck”. Wasting Light is the best hard rock album of the last 20 years.
