Former Mostly Autumn member Liam Davison has passed away. The sad news was announced on the band's Facebook page today.

Love that debut Mostly Autumn record. Another painful loss.

Have not listened to this band in a while, so pulled out "Last Bright Light" and "Go Well Diamond Heart" the other day, and had kind of forgotten how much I like what they do. A lot of their earlier stuff is out of print now unfortunately. RIP Liam........

This is very sad news. I've never been much of an MA fan, but I always thought that, when he got a chance to shine, Davidson was by far the most original and interesting of the MA guitar players. Sad to see that he has passed on at such a young age. RIP.

His solo "A Treasure Of Well-Set Jewels" is a fantastic record. He was a hell of a player.

As soon as I heard about his death, I somewhat opportunistically ordered a used copy of the limited, extended edition of this CD from Discogs.com. I was curious to hear it, and figured the limited edition would only get harder to find. It hasn't arrived yet...
