RIP Janne Carlsson of Hansson and Karlsson

Passed away August 31st without too much fanfare in the music press- excellent drummer famed for his collaboration with the late Bo Hansson. They were a favorite of Jimi Hendrix, who jammed with then in Sweden and recorded Hansson's composition "Tax Free". Heres a bit of them in action-

    From Wikipedia-
Carlsson was also a skilled drummer, featured on several albums in Swedish 1970s and 1980s music. He was the 'Karlsson' of the Swedish jazz fusion/psychedelic rock duo Hansson & Karlsson that were active in the late 1960s, and performed together with musicians such as Dexter Gordon, Johnny Griffin and Jimi Hendrix.[4]

Wow, didn't even hear about this! Sad to hear. I enjoy their stuff (and especially Bo on his own)
