True, it does recall the vintage Strawbs sound, but it's also a heavier album than any of theirs from that era. Even "Ghosts" had a few much sunnier moments on it. (If anything I felt that the previous Strawbs reunion albums leaned too much toward the lighter stuff).

You aren't kidding! This could be song of the year (or of any year for that matter) - magical, stunning, beautiful, devastating - hearing this made me think of Dylan Time Out of Mind era, Not Dark Yet - hit those same feelings.

    This is a great song!

Dave Bainbridge is the MVP of Prog this year. On 2 of my Top 10 Records, Strawbs and Lifesigns. This guy is a difference maker. Don't sleep on him.

Absolutely loving "When The Spirit Moves." Thanks for posting that. I saw The Strawbs last year in Wilmington. Attendance was dismal but they delivered a stunningly beautiful concert. I just wish more people were in to The Strawbs. A lot of their music is really moving.

This one floats my boat for sure, vintage Strawbs.
