    R.I.P. Linkin Park's Chester Bennington

Music isn't about chops, or even about talent - it's about sound and the way that sound communicates to people. Mike Keneally

    Damn, that's harsh!

Chester was a cool guy whenever I was around him. The first time I met him was at a festival that Linkin Park was at. This was just prior to them hitting it big. We hung out with Linkin Park (and Alien Ant Farm) in their dressing rooms and Chester was the nicest guy. He was quick-witted and funny. RIP

Very sorry to hear this. I'm not a huge fan of the band, but I'm not a hater either. Stuff like this just makes me sad and shows how hard it is for people who suffer from depression, in ways that are simply incomprehensible to those who don't. My sympathies for his friends, family, and fans.

    Rest in peace.
